Re: OT: Repairing bleached fabric

I have a denim dress with three bleached spots. Long story short, the dress was accidentally splashed with bleach. The spots are all one inch in diameter or less. Is there a way to dye such small areas of denim? I've looked at the Rit brand of dyes available at Wal-Mart, and the only color that comes close is a dark blue. I'm not sure this color would work on my dark denim dress, and I'm afraid the end result might be unsatisfactory. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Fabric that has bleach spots is usually weakened. Can you cover the spots with appliqué to look like they really belong. Perhaps use multiple appliqués scattered on the dress to make it look like that's the style of the dress. If not appliqué how about an embroidered design.
