can i wash this? toss it in the dryer on air fluff? or just
give up & toss it out?

I wouldn't put it in a dryer. If it comes out of the washer wrinkled,
you can block it: spread it out on a flat, smooth waterproof surface
and let it dry. If it won't lie smooth, dip it in water, spread it
out, then pat with a towel to take up as much of the water as
possible.
