Depends on how you sew. I get on fine with only a full-length mirror

Once I put two garments on the same suit hanger and measured the
difference between them when I wanted to make a slip the length of one
by the pattern for the other. If I did that sort of thing frequently,
or if I draped new patterns instead of flat-pattern designing,
a dress form would earn its house room.
Mirrors, by the way, are really cheap and take up no space at all. I
regard a good mirror as indispensable.
