Re: How do I thread a Singer 400W101 ???

I found this site that might interest you. You can buy the manual with
PayPal and download it in pdf. from online. Might be handy to have around if
you're going to be using this machine.

"SINGER 400w101 400w102 400w103 & 400w105 industrial instruction & adjusting
manual"

It's about 2/3s of the way down the page. Hope this helps you out

Hi group!!! Never been here before, but I picked up this industrial
single-needle machine that's been converted to household current at a
righteous price. It was threaded & shown to be working when I bought it.
I've always changed thread by tying a reef knot from old to new, and
pulling gently through all channels and, if lucky, through the needle as
well. Long story short - tried using a heavy thread to repair a friend's
suede jacket, and it got all bunched up and tangled - I had to gently cut
out all the mess, and now I have no idea how to re-thread.
Can anyone help (with pictures)???

Thanks in advance (from a guy who sews)
