Re: Helpppppppppp Pleaseeeeee/UPDATE....

To all you wonderful Ladies that have so kindly offered your "brillant"
ideals and suggestions for my daughters "Beach Wedding"...Here is an
update...we just met again with them for Breakfast, and "Pat" you were right
it is at the "border" of Florida but still in alabama, (the Beach) and the
sand is like white sugar....I stand corrected on this issue.......I am still
milling over which wonderful "outfit" to make, wear, but now she has thrown
in another thing, they are making reservations (family is flying in from
Cincinnati (her sister) and Pamela (Bride) wants all of us to spend the
first two night at the same resort as her and her husband will
spend..........I am not a "Beach person"...so do I just also take "casual"
clothing for this weekend........sorry but we are use to Oklahoma, and
dressing for the west...........again...You "talented" ladies are wonderful
and your ideals are GREAT...any additional thoughts on what I should pack,
buy, or take for this weekend (clothing wise) will be greatly
APPRECIATED.........The grooms side is "southern" (long line of southerners
from Alabama) and I do so want to make a good
impression.......again.........THANKS TO ALL YOU SEWERS & ARTISTS OF
FABRIC.....

Are you sure Orange Beach is in Florida?? I ask because I was in Orange
Beach in Alabama, right NEXT to the border of Florida. It had the most
gorgeous sand ... white sugar sand!
When niece got married on beach in Maui, her mom wore an afternoon dress
with lots of pretty flowers. It is same type dress she might wear hear at
home for an afternoon summer wedding in a church. The dad wore a pastel
Hawaiian shirt, and the groom wore white Hawaiian shirt. They all had
leis. Bride wore traditional gown, strapless flowers in hair, and a
bouquet. Shoes?? Don't know. When a friend's daughter was married at a
local Virginia beach, the women in family and bridal party all wore glitzy
flip flops!
Attending the wedding of one's son/daughter is an honor and a wonderful
event. Enjoy!!

The Wedding is Set for the 2nd of June at 5:30 P.M.....Her dress is what
I
would term "semi formal" its strapless, and empire waist...it resembles a
"slip dress" to me in the front, but as I said before the hem gets longer
along the sides and in the back it comes down to the ground...shes very
tiny
and petite and I want to wear something that is appropriate for both
the
wedding and the beach...another question would be...what about my
shoes...I mean what is appropiate for the "sand" and at the same time
would
match my clothing?............I honestly am "lost"....thank you again so
much for all of your ideals!!.........Judy SpottedBird.
