thank you all, I finally could picture it and found a chart for how
wide to cut and what length you can get from what size of fabric which
I saved as well.

You are very welcome. I found that site several years ago and actually have
it printed out and taped inside the door of my sewing cabinet. As many times
as I've made bias strips I always have to look at that again to check and
make sure I'm doing it right. LOL
