Can't wait to see the gown this weekend. In the meantime, I saw
Kenneth King (my idol) on someone's program a month or two ago, and he
said that all the ease needed in a sleeve is 1-1/2 inches. He measured
the armhole, then measured the sleeve. He slashed the sleeve down the
center, and overlapped it until all that was left was the 1-1/2 inches.
I happened to be working on a jacket at the time, and tried it. The
sleeve was perfect. So, now I measure everything that way.
