Anyone Have A Good Stabliser Recommendation?



Now that I finally have everything my Elna needs to do some embroidery
work, the missing item in my sewing kit is a backing/stabiliser.

From research and Ms. Ahles book, have narrowed choices down to a few
tear away and water soluble but wanted some "real life" advice.
Badgemaster looks pretty interesting, but many say it does not rinse
easily and leaves a sticky residue. Vilene is another option, but kind
of pricey.

Mainly need something for backing machine work on fine cotton and linen
fabrics (bed and table linens weight).

Suggestions gang?
