Of the four, she won one first place, three third places, and was the aggregate winner for her age group (they award prizes to the top six dancers in each dance).

I could not possibly be happier for her. She fell badly a couple years ago during a competition, and gave it up for a while, so she's only been taking lessons again for less than a year. This is just remarkable, her teacher (the one for whom I'm making some costumes) is thrilled, as am I.

And, thank the weather gods, it wasn't 100°F for a change, really a comfortable 82°F or so, with a moderate breeze. Whew! A grand time was had by all.
