My ex had built me a sewing room set up in a small bedroom using
premade cabinets and a pantry probably designed for garages. They were
white, I forgot the name of the product, that pressed wood with white
over it. Also, he made an L shaped counter and put under cabinet
lighting in. There was a counter top and beneath it two cabinets,
maybe 30" deep big enough for my machines and containers of serger
thread. I had to move and very likely will never have such a luxurious
work space again. It probably cost $500 for materials. The cabinets
have to be put together. The pantry collapsed, and he had to take it
back and get another one which he secured better. He had a truck and
was strong. We are no longer together. He charged for labor but it
wasn't that much. If you have space, I highly recommend such a setup.
The L shape was a pretty good height for cutting and the counter top
height was good for crafting while standing. Judi
