Well, I am finally getting back to sewing after several months of, well,
not-due to more pressing problems. It is almost Carnival here and that
means costumes! I managed to pick up a 5 M bolt of cowprint nervous velour
cheap and cut out 2 cow costumes today. It is actually Simplicity 9808
which I have used to make leopards, the lion and even zebras. The kids love
them.
Anyway, I changed the tail and the ears a bit and am planning to sew on
horns. What I am not sure about is the udder. The pattern has a contrasting
patch on the stomach to represent the belly of the animal. I was thinking of
making it smaller and moving it south a few inches to be the udder, maybe
even pinning on 4 nipples from baby bottles. Does this sound gross? The
one daughter is 4, the other is 8.
My husband had a friend that went to a Halloween party wearing a pink
sweatshirt with baby bottle nipples on it......said he was a pig.
