The Singer Rocketeer???!!! Isn't that the 500(x) model? Ugh, I have two I'm going to eBay or put on Craig's List. IMNSHO and frustrating exprience, they do not hold tension AT ALL. And it's not a question of servicing, because I have paid for a complete overhaul of both. I bought one for my DMIL many years ago, and the other (used) for myself. DD inherited the first one, she loathes it as well, I'm going to give her one of my 401a instead. I would not trade *one* 401a for TEN Rocketeers....
