What I said was:
I don't know if it's been established whether he's got a telephone
handset on the same telephone line that he's trying to download on.
After contact is made with the panel, he's got to pick up the handset
and leave the telephone line open all the while he's in communication
with the panel. If the line isn't open, the panel will hang up even
though the downloader program is open and trying to communicate.
I don't know if he knows that or not.
Dear Jim,
to be honest i didn't knew that. Why that on Napco? All other dl
softwares and panels as you know do not need that. In that way you
cannot download if there isn't anyother in the panel's premises...
If you do a one step download, you don't need to keep the line open.
