You'll recall the recent discussion about a moron who hates Texas and
the
disgusting things he's been saying about the people of the Lone Star
State.
In order to avoid confusing this guy with some innocent person, I am
including his home phone number below.
Here's the name, address and phone number. I am not suggesting you
contact
him. Just be sure you know who the guy is so you don't
mistake him for someone else with a similar name.

Why clip on. Hold your tone tracker next to the line and push the

You don't even need to touch the wires.
I don't recommend this, though. Eavesdropping on a phone line is a
federal
offense, not to mention boring.

OR HOW ABOUT THIS ONE?

Mr. Bass,
You claim you want to become a pilot. So you naturally read and post to
the rec. aviation groups. Upon doing so, you discover that the majority
of PILOTS that post here are, in your opinion, drunken, dangerous
malcontents that display traits that you despise.
Why do you continue to associate with us?
"Us?" I don't know you personally, Ric (or Shari). For all I know you
may be the nicest person in town. OTOH, you may be otherwise. Having
never met you I'll simply assume you're a pleasant person unless you
show me good reason to think otherwise.
That means disagree with him, or point out his blatant
inconsistencies,
or indicate in any way that it is less than OK to viciously attack in
every way, regardless of facts, those who disagree with him or who
have in the past done so for any reason whatsoever.
You can't lump the entire membership of the NG together as one. There
are folks like the Dave Mould, Steve Peltz, Wendy BG, Margy and a raft
of others who contribute so much to the forum. There are scads of
students who ask and sometimes answer questions.
And there are folks like the terrific people who gathered together at
PInckneyville in 1998.
Unfortunately, there are those who care nothing for the NG, let alone
for sharing and helping students. They use it as a tool to build up
their weak egos. One such individual used to hang around telling all
sorts of ridiculous tall tales about his personal heroism. He claimed
he smashed his CFII in the mouth to keep the instructor from crashing
the plane. He told of taking off VFR in total, horizon-to-horizon fog,
flying around until he thought the airport might be below and then
landing in some lady's garden, oinly to take off again (still if total
fog) and flying safely to the airport.
What a bunch of crap. The individual he is referring to above with
that malicious bunch of twisted lying bull*** is otherwise known as
JRJ. We all know that he would NEVER do anything to help a student
pilot and that he clearly hates anyone who can fly! Right? Right!
However, Mr. Bass, in his great wisdom and greater experience of
flight, has determined singlehandedly that JRJ should be banned from
the news groups, removed from aviation and permanently grounded.
We salute your perspicacity Mr. Bass. You are clearly the
incarnation
of GOD in your ability to judge and condemn others.
Bear in mind these ridiculous stories were told to students by a guy
who calls himself a CFI. Imagine what will happen if a student thinks
he can try the same stunts. When challenged he let loose with a
cesspool full of toilet-mouthed flames, even suggested several times
that others kill a student pilot (me) for challenging him. He was
warned repeatedly to stop but kept it up until one day I got tired of
reading his daily diatribe. I forwarded exact copies of his abuse to
those who had authority to put a stop to it.
He wasn't challenged. He was called a homesexual sodomist by one
Robert L. Bass in public, when he pointed out that the off line
attack on that foul and evil person, Sydney Hoeltzli, was perhaps a
bit out of line and the recounting of it by Mr. Bass was somewhat
askew from what actually happened. Of course, that challenge did
imply that Robert L. Bass mignt possibly NOT be the shining knight
in armour of purest white Sir Galahad dashing off to destroy maidens
and saints in the name of self rightousness.
And finally there are the useless flamers who have done everything
they can to destroy the NG. These folks contribute nothing but filth.
They offer not one iota of useful information to students or anyone
else. Every post from that group is an attack.
Why is it than NONE of these "useless flamers" have EVER flamed
anyone
other than Robert L. Bass. Generally their "useless flames" consist
of pointing out the self serving lies and deliberate
misrepresentations
of truth posted by Robert L. Bass in an foredoomed attempt to present
himself as the HERO OF THE NEWS GROUPS. Unfortunately, all of his
efforts seem to increase the number of "useless flamers" who question
his veracity in public.
In answer to your question, I enjoy discoursing with the first group
of folks. I have little patience with the second and none whatever for
the last, for whom God gave us news group filters.
As long as they refrain from pointing out the tasteless drivel and
outright lies posted by Robert L. Bass in his futile and foredoomed
attempts to convince people that he is someone worth taking
seriously.
Before you join the pack or believe what folks like Ahrens and Morris
have to say, may I suggest you look at the record. I'm a student
pilot. I have often made comments in RAS about my own experiences and
asked questions about those of others. Sometimes I get corrected and
other times (probably less of them) I'm right. I usually don't make
rabid attacks against anyone, although I have lost my temper a few
times and lashed out in anger.
Funny, Robert. Virtually ALL of the posts you have posted to this
news group were rabid attacks against someone. The others were
futile
attempts to JUSTIFY those rabid attacks. Clearly, from your OWN
justification, you prove that your rabid attacks are unjustifiable
and you own intelligence is beneath notice.
By comparison, Morris (who calls himself Q Salt, Laffer, Lennie, etc.)
has posted almost 5,000 flames in a matter of months. Ahrens posts
less but almost everything he says is a flame. There are some who give
useful help to students here but reserve rage for me because I smashed
three of their friends (who had each been dogging me for a long time
before I ever responded).
Oh, yes. Right. We noticed that. I am sure that this is really the
case. I have never seen anyone except Robert L. Bass who made a
major
attempt to get someone fired from their job because they had the
temerity to send him ONE polite e-mail message that was actually an
invitation to an aviation event. The resulting response was not only
rabid but TOTALLY out of order.
Believe what or whom you want. Take sides or don't. If you post a
reasoned request for peace as did Steve Peltz, you can expect to be
flamed, called vile names and so forth. If you post trash you'll get
some hearty back-slapping from the Klansman of Usenet and earn
yourself a spot on numerous filters (not just mine). If you speak to
me in a civil tone you can expect the same in reply.
The "Klansman of Usenet" When you speak to Bass in a civil tone you
get personal attacks. JRJ spoke to Bass in a "civil tone." The only
problem was in so doing, he put Bass in a position where he had to
admit his wrongdoing. John Stricker also spoke to Bass in a civil
tone. He did point out that some of Robert L. Bass's activities on
the news groups and off the groups, were not generally considered to
be ethical and proper. That was percieved by Robert L. Bass as a
grievous personal attack and responded to with rabid violence on the
news groups. That the Bass is really saying here is "If you toady
up to me like Peltz I won't try to get you fired from your job and
I won't lie to the FAA to try to get them to pull your license and
destroy your livelihood"
Most intelligent and educatged people call that BLACKMAIL, Mr. Bass.
That's enough. Say something about flying. I'd like to read about your
most recent exploits AGL.
"Then I will take what you say, edit it so that it looks like you
were
doing something really illegal, and forward it to the FAA with a
request that they pull your ticket so that you too can be grounded
just like ME."
Or am I reading between the lines here, Robert?

ALL OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR, DEAD MAN?
ISN'T IT AMAZING HOW THESE OLD POST FROM OTHER NEWSGROUPS SOUNDS JUST
LIKE WHAT YOU'VE CAUSED IN THIS NEWSGROUP THROUGH THE YEARS? CAN YOU
DENY IT? WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE SOME MORE OF YOUR EXPOLITS, DEAD MAN?
SOMETHING ELSE TO SHOW WHAT A LIAR AND MALICIOUS SON OF A BITCH YOU
ARE? THERE'S LOTS AND LOTS MORE.
YOU CAN POST WHAT EVER YOU THINK WILL CLEAR THE ARCHIVES HERE, BUT
IT'S ALL STORED WHERE YOU CAN NEVER GET AT IT AND I'LL SEE TO IT THAT
IT FOLLOWS YOU FOR WHAT LITTLE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT TO YOUR LIFE.
YOU ARE A MISERABLE AND CONTEMPTABLE DISTURBED INDIVIDUAL AND YOU DIED
A LONG TIME AGO. ALL THAT'S LEFT IS FOR YOUR CARCAS TO ROT AWAY AND
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT'S HAPPENING TO YOU THIS VERY MINUTE.
ENJOY THE THOUGHT OF IT, EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY YOU HAVE LEFT.
