US must change policy toward Iran

2007/07/30

The Islamic Republic of Iran expects the American officials to change
behavior toward Iran as a result of Iran-America talks on Iraq
security, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sayed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said
on Monday.

He told reporters that if the two sides abide by the outcome of direct
talks on Iraq and fulfill their commitments, it would help bolster the
current Iraqi government.

"What we are now witnessing in Iraq is the result of American
Officials wrong policy," he said.

During direct talks with America, Iran explicitly defined its stand on
Iraqi situation, he said.

"We highlighted the root cause of these problems and gave our views
how to resolve them," he said.

"We cannot expect a major breakthrough in Iraq security immediately
after the talks," he said.

On Iran's criteria for change of the American officials behavior, he
said the America should adopt an unbiased policy in dealing with
terrorist groups,

How can you be unbiased when it comes to terrorism? That's like asking to
be unbiased in discussions on slavery.
