03/31/06 Digital Chicago: Marine wounded; spirit strong
On the evening of Oct. 10, 2005, Matt Zbiec was blown up in October in Iraq. Every inch of Zbiec's skin that wasn't covered in protective equipment was punctured and bloodied -- his hands, arms and legs, and nearly every corner of his face.
