Why Do Muslims Kill Apostates? A Muslim Explains:

From the article:
More tolerant Muslim societies like those in Singapore, Malaysia and
Indonesia have allowed Muslims to leave the religion- free from
similar perturbations. However, Muslims who wish to leave the religion
are sometimes counselled by the religious authorities and family
members.
This might be more convincing if there weren't recently so many
beheadings of Christians by Muslims in Malaysia and Indonesia. Those
two countries can hardly be considered moderate or tolerant when the
authorities look the other way when atrocities are committed against
non-Muslims.
