ANOTHER SCENARIO FOR THE MYTH OF FISH EVOLUTION; THE BBC'S "MISSING LINK FOUND" ERROR

ANOTHER SCENARIO FOR THE MYTH OF FISH EVOLUTION; THE BBC'S "MISSING
LINK FOUND" ERROR

The 3 May, 2005, edition of the BBC web site reported on fossil
findings dating back to 450 million years ago. As a result of the
research, carried out by Richard Aldridge of Leicester University,
various findings were made which were claimed to be a continuation of
fossils discovered 11 years previously. In this report, the BBC sought
to present the fossil findings in question as evidence for the scenario
of fish evolution, using Aldridge's claims as its starting point.

These findings, based entirely on conjecture and offering no evidence
whatsoever for the imaginary evolutionary process, are another example
of Darwinist death throes. No proof was offered to show the
contribution made by the fossils in the report in question to the
subject of evolution. The article went no further than giving glad
tidings about the finding of the long-awaited "missing link."

You can find genuine scientific statements about the fossil findings in
question and the scenario of fish evolution below.

The Grave Error to the Effect a Transitional Form Had Been Found

For an evolutionist, it is impossible to arrive at a conclusion by
obtaining proof. That is because every discovery shows that evolution
never happened, and evolutionists are subjected to severe
disappointment each time. For that reason, therefore, evolutionists
always start with the conclusions they came to long beforehand and then
seek to find proof for them. Researcher Richard Aldridge starts out
from a preconception this way, and has devoted all his attention to
finding a fossil that might represent evidence of the imaginary
evolution of fish. He had no hesitation about stating that that he was
unable to scientifically describe as a fish fossil he discovered in the
south of Africa in 1994 and that he named Nelson. Yet he still insisted
on referring to this as a fish fossil. (1) He continued his research in
the same area and combining the new fossil traces he discovered there
11 years later with his previous finding, he claimed that this
represented an intermediate form.

First of all there is no evidence that these findings belong to a fish
at all. Starting from the remains of soft tissue he found, Aldridge
thought he had discovered an intermediate form between the phylum
Cordata and fish. However, the fossil findings in his possession have
no distinguishing features that might confirm the imaginary passage
from an organism with no backbone to vertebrates. It would be a major
transition for invertebrates, which have no skeleton and the hard parts
of whose bodies are on the outside, to turn into fish, whose hard parts
are in the middle of their bodies. Those fossil remains alleged to
belong to intermediate forms need to be able to demonstrate that
significant passage. However, Aldridge's discoveries provide no
evidence that might confirm this. Instead, the author makes do with
repeating, four or five times, his claim that the sought-after
intermediate fossil had been found.

The Fossil Fish That Make Fish Evolution Impossible
No matter how much Darwinists may speculate on this subject, we are
still looking at a manifest truth that totally eliminates all claims
regarding the subject. A fossil fish found in China in 1999 dates back
530 million years. That, 530 years ago, i.e. the Cambrian Period, is
just when various specimens of complex structures suddenly appeared and
when representatives of 28 of the 42 known animal phyla emerged with
all their details. The fish fossil in question, discovered in the
Chinese region of Chengjiang, where best preserved fossils from that
period have been found proves that 530 million years ago vertebrates
existed with all the features they possess today, fully formed. This
shows that fish and invertebrates, (the latter claimed to be the
forerunner of the former) appeared at the same time.

In the light of this, it is an out-and-out deception for evolutionists
to stand up and allege that they had found an intermediate link
approximately 100 million years younger than this fossil. This living
thing, that existed fully formed and with all its component parts on
Earth 530 million years ago, possesses complex features similar to
present-day ones, and clearly never underwent any evolution at all. If
evolutionists do set about finding an intermediate form then they
should direct their attention to remains from 530 million years ago.
However, all the pre-Cambrian fossils they find will be mere
single-celled or simple multi-celled animals. Even Richard Dawkins, one
of the most fanatical of present-day evolutionists was unable to avoid
mentioning the extraordinary nature of that period and the dilemma
which it posed for evolutionists:

"And we find many of them already in an advanced state of evolution,
the very first time they appear. It is as though they were just planted
there, without any evolutionary history. Needless to say, this
appearance of sudden planting has delighted creationists..."(2)

The fact that a fish with all its complex features lived in such a
period is important scientific evidence that will put an end to all
debate over the issue. Fish have existed ever since the first complex
organisms were seen on Earth, and were created in a moment with all
their superior characteristics. The scientific evidence that proves
creation against evolution has been set out in all clarity. All
speculation on this issue is invalid. It is impossible for scientists
like Aldridge or the BBC, one of their major news sources, to come up
with any finding to alter that fact.

The Effort to Deceive the Reader with Conjecture
The fossil discoveries unearthed as a result of countless digs clearly
show the existence of fossil fish dating back 530 million years and
possessed of all their features. However, none of these countless
excavations has ever turned up a single intermediate form with which to
support the evolution scenario. Researchers such as Aldridge see
nothing wrong in stating that the imaginary evolution of fish was a
process that took place in stages and that this has been proven by the
fossil record.

Evolutionists' conjectural methods are no different. Constantly
repeating something that is not actually true, suggesting that people
do believe them, is the sole method to which Darwinists, who are left
with no other way out, can resort. They employ this method persistently
in every article, every case study and every report.

The fact is, however, that scientists' statements conflict with the
scientific evidence. Fossil findings provide no examples of an
intermediate form. The imaginary "missing link," sought for so many
years, has not been found. There is not even a single fossil that might
confirm the existence of the imaginary process known as evolution.
Instead, they keep finding themselves looking at complex organisms,
whose existence goes back millions of years, similar to present-day
living things. The fact of creation is constantly being verified. They
will keep resorting to their traditional methods for so long as they
refuse to admit this truth. This vicious circle will thus continue.
However, the mass of readers they seek to influence can clearly see the
evidence and are aware of the facts. Therefore, evolutionists'
conjectural methods can have no effect on people capable of looking
objectively and possessed of an open mind.

The BBC needs to wake up to these facts as quickly as possible and
abandon evolutionists' classic methods. Otherwise, this will damage
the organisation's prestige and damage people's faith in the
channel. We call on the BBC to report the news with these facts in mind
from now on.
