Uh huh. And, especially when there are threats to cut one's head off and/or
blow things up if that apology is not forthcoming.

Ah yes, the Golden Rule. I think it's application in practice is sometimes
not so straightforward. For example, had I published the cartoons, I think
I would expect supporters of free speech to do unto me as I would do unto
them by supporting my right to do so. I'm not sure that's what you have in
mind.
