The slaughter is not a mandate and should be discontinued, not only
because it makes Muslims look like blood-thirsty primitives, but more
importantly because it creates serious health hazards for humans.
Every year, cattle and other livestock are imported from Africa and
India, among other places, which have been found to be infected with
diseases such as foot and mouth and brucellosis - which are contagious
to people. The sewers in Saudi become clogged with entrails, and many
thousands of carcasses, where the meat was supposedly donated to the
poor, are left rotting in the sun.
