Re: Which Translation of Quran is prefered or most accurate?
There's no one translation widely recognized as best, and many Muslims
would state that only the original Arabic-language version is worthwhile.
My rules of thumb would be:
1) Avoid late 19th century or early 20th century translations filled
with "thou" and "thee", and other (often rather poor quality) attempts at
pseudo-KJV style English.
2) Avoid translations sponsored by Saudi money.
