The Dead Sea Scrolls don't contain any New Testament material. These
scrolls were left behind by the Essenes. The question of the best
translations are irrelevant. They are only quibbling about wording.
Major doctrinal issues don't depend on which verison you are reading.

Again you are worried about accuracy. The overall meaning in the Quran
doesn't depend greatly on the translation. However, there are many
sections which appear to be meaningless or incomprehensible and others
that are contradictory. Consequently, there was the creation of the
Hadith which helps to explain the Quran and lets us know which verses
are abrogated. Also, there are many commentaries which explains the
meaning of the Quran. WIthout the Hadith and the Commentaries the
Quran would largely be useless. It provides little in moral guidance
and instruction in the five pillars of Islam. The five pillars of
Islam are not fully explained in the Quran. Therefore, it is
inadequate to only read the Quran if you wish to understand Islam. I
have noticed that the vast majority of the Umma have not read the Quran
and the Hadith. They merely go thru the rituals without questioning or
studying the sources.

P.S. The hardcore muslim believe that the Quran should only be read in
the original Arabic. The whole religion is "Arab-oriented". Everyone
else is a second class citizen.
