Which Translation of Quran is prefered or most accurate?

Hi, it's me the Christian again......

In Christianity, there are various translations of the Bible, King James, New International Version, Revised Standard, Etc.....

Personally, I prefer the New International Version....because I feel it's most accurate to the Dead Sea Scrolls, but that's a whole 'nuther issue

I am studing the Quran and now realize that there is more than one translation. The one I have is by M. H. Shakir. Knowing nothing about these translations, how or where can I get opinions on which is most accurate?
