Shouldn't it? However the real concern here isn't how the UN came to
recognize Israel, its why this location was chosen. This location was chosen
because starting in the late 1890's zionists began a movement to repatriate
this land for jews. Something to do with their religion, IIRC.

The 'president' of Iran is demonstrating a rather flimsy understanding of
history.

Of course he wasn't joking. Iran is at the forefront of belligerence and
aggressive threats against Israel. They should have been kicked out of the
UN the last time this mental patient the Mullahs call a President said
israel must be wiped off the map.

Or was he joking about that one too?
