Well maybe... grays and amazons live 50-60 years in captivity while
grays, yellow napes and blue-fronteds are among the best talkers.
Macaws live to be around 75 but they don't talk as well. Usually
parrots develop their vocabularies early if they are decent talkers. A
friend of mine had a cockatoo who talked really well. He imitated her
calling her husband and her husband calling her perfectly in tone,
volume and intonation so that each had to listen twice to make sure who
it really was. That was VERY funny and no one can tell me that bird did
not have a little bit of fun doing that.
