To Not Come Short

To not come short
of the glory of God
is to receive faith from Christ
to trust him to be righteous
for us forever in our stead
for our salvation:
Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all
them that believe:
for there is no difference:
For all have sinned,
and come short
(Greek: hustereo, come short)
of the glory of God;
(Romans 3:22-23 KJV)
Let us therefore fear,
lest, a promise being left us
of entering into his rest,
any of you should seem
to come short
(Greek: hustereo, come short)
of it.
For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them:
but the word preached
did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith
in them that heard it.
(Hebrews 4:1-2)
