Nothing But the Blood
Nothing but the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ can save us:
"Much more then, being justified by His blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through Him." Romans 5:9
The Lord Jesus Christ gave His sinless blood (which is His life for
"the life is in the blood thereof-Genesis 9:4) to wash away forever
our sins. When we are placed in the family of God is is through the
blood. When we are forgiven our sins it is through the blood.
The blood of bulls and goats could only atone (cover) our sins and
that has passed away with the old covenant with the tearing of the
temple vail at our Lord Jesus Christ's death on the cross. His
perfect blood is now the basis of the new covenant and replaces all
the OT sacrifices. His sacrifice is the final sacrifice for us.
All can avail themselves of this perfect and final sacrifice is they
so choose.
