Baptism anywhere else in the bible, when a name is mentioned it is only
in
Jesus' name.
Check Acts, 2: 38
Just a statement of fact. They were baptised in His name and, while not
mentioned, were also baptise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit.
Acts 8: 16
This passage would seem to indicate that a misake had been made...
'ONLY been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus'
The use of the word 'only' would seem to indicate that more was
needed...as it mentioned elsewhere, what was missing was to baptise in
the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Acts 10: 48
'And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord'
Who is the Lord? The Lord is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:5
'When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus'
Who is the Lord? The Lord is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Acts 22:16
'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your
sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'
Who is the Lord? The Lord is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
With one word and voice He said to His disciples: "Go, and make disciples
of all the nations in My Name, teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you," [[Matt. xxviii. 19.]]
Can you understand MY NAME??
The actual text:
Mat 28:18-20 (NKJV)
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been
given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all
things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age. Amen.[b]
In the future, you may want to actually read the passages you refer to
rather then to trust whatever ignorant source you grabbed these passages
from.
That is funny I would suggest you bother to learn to read a non King James
and edited version of the Bible. I might also suggest a little scholarship
into just how the Bible came about in its present form. Start with a little
reading on Textual Critism it may open your eyes to reality, though I have
my doubts.
