No Jeremy, Jesus was NOT a white man. Only a very few nuts believe He
was.
Jesus was a JEW (READ the geneologies in Matthew and Luke; they both
say "of Judah," the term that the Bible often translates, "Jew.").
If there were ever a race about half-way between white and black, it
would be Hebrew or Jew.

Yet you make a "strawman argument" issue of race with Jesus. Yah, you
sure aren't racist, are you?
I <snipped> the rest of the post. There were no questions or
challenges to anything, just a statement that you felt badly about
Jesus somehow being portrayed as "white."
A couple of basic facts:
1. People tend to be egocentric, a word that means that people like
to think that everyone else is pretty much like themselves. If you
are white, you think white is the "norm" on some level. If you are
black, you think black is "normal" on that level. If you are chinese,
same thing.
2. Christians know Jesus was a Jew, the "Lion of Judah" as scripture
says. A few wacko white supremecist groups try to "prove" Jesus was
white, but they in no way represent any true Christians.
3. Paul said,
Gal 3:26-29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free,
there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs
according to the promise

We Christians believe Paul.
I am sorry you have been hurt because of your race. I have been hurt
on occasion because I am a WASP (White Anglosaxton Protestant), even
though I am not truly white (I have a lot of Hebrew blood in me too),
and I don't "protest" anything; I am a Baptist.
But hang in there. God isn't finished with either of us yet!
