Re: Jesus - Savior, Christ, and Lord (Luke 2)

> So, that's my belief. What's yours ?

- God (we don't know where or why, but he is "I AM")
- Creation - 6 Days (rested on 7th)
- Adam & Eve sinned as a result of temptation. Was not an apple (that's
just a myth).
- God destroyed everything with a flood (with the exception of Noah +
family)
- God made a covenant with Abraham that would set in motion the need for a
Savior. (Genesis 15)
- Even though the Jews were God's chosen ones, they keep screwing things up
despite the blessings.
- God, despite our sin, loved us so much that he became flesh and blood to
reconcile everyone under Himself. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of a virgin, and anointed by the power of the Spirit at his baptism.
- Jesus, being perfect, was the "sacrificial lamb" that would blot out
man's sins once and for all. Jesus took the punishment for our sins because
if God is a "just" God and must punish sin. This is called grace because we
really deserve death for our sin.
- This redemption is for those who have repented from their sins and trust
in Jesus like you would trust a parachute to save your life if you jumped
from a plane.
- Jesus will come back a second time to judge the world in righteousness.
Those who are not his "sheep" will go to hell.
