Open Letter to Billy Graham evangelistic association

Dear Billy Graham Evangelistic Association,
I'd like to inquire whether or not Billy Graham is still a friend of
Oral Roberts, and if Mr. Graham continues to endorses him? In light
of controversies that have surrounded Oral Roberts, including the
propagation of many false teachings and prophecies detailed later in
this message, would Dr. Graham like to take this opportunity to retract
his previous endorsement of Oral Roberts, which included making the
dedication address at Oral Roberts University, or express regret
regarding his past association with Mr. Roberts? Also, what is Dr.
Graham's opinion of the "prosperity gospel" as taught by many
charismatic televangelists?
The reason why I'm asking about this is because I read in a book
written by Oral Roberts, "Still Doing the Impossible" published in
2002, where he described Billy Graham as a "warm friend". Also, there
was a picture in the book in question which showed Oral and Billy
standing side by side as they dedicated Oral Roberts University when it
first opened.
I'm concerned if whether or not it really is true that, to this day,
Billy is still friends with Oral. As I asked before, does he still
associate and endorse Mr. Roberts? Oral Roberts has done and said
some very questionable, controversial, and heretical things since the
time Billy dedicated that university. Oral has made a string of false
prophecies, said he saw a 900 foot tall Jesus, and then later said that
God would "call him home" unless he raised $8 million back in 1987.

There are many things to be concerned as it pertains to Oral Roberts,
and not only Mr. Roberts, but also the charismatic extremist fringe
that he represents. I'm especially concerned and troubled with how
Oral Roberts, his son, and those who followed in his footsteps such as
Benny Hinn and Ken Copeland, teach a "prosperity gospel", in which they
essentially teach that if you send them a donation, you can buy
yourself a miraculous healing. Or that if you send them money, God
will rain down money and the other materialistic things of this world
upon you. While it's true that God does bless people, these preachers
focus too much on the materialism and greed aspect. They act as if
you can order God around like he's a genie with their "name it, claim
it" teachings. I think these are erroneous teachings, and that
Roberts and his ilk have twisted the word of God for materialistic
purposes. They've done great harm.
So in light of this, and especially as it relates to Oral's claim in a
book published in 2002 that Billy is a "warm friend" of his, I'd like
to know if it's really true if whether or not Billy Graham still
maintains a friendship with Oral, and if he still endorses him.
Afterall, Oral Roberts is using Billy's name and a photo of Billy
dedicating the university to make himself look legitimate, so it's a
valid question, I think. I look forward to your reply, and this email
that I've sent to you, I've posted it as an "open letter" to the Billy
Graham Evangelistic Association on the usenet group,
"alt.religion.christian" Once I have received a reply from your
organization, I will post that reply to the Christian newsgroup in
question, so they can see the response of your organization to my
questions. I'm sure that many concerned Christians would appreciate
the response of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association regarding
these questions.
