Oh, the scripture I quote says exactly what the bible says, and is in fact the

LOL! Unfortunately for YOU, I myself and MANY others have shown that
the scriptures do NOT say what you calim.
Strange comment. I quote what they say. You pretend they say something other
than what they say.
And you CLAIM they say things they do not. Just as I demonstrated
below.
Like Matthew 16:18-20. It NEVER SAYS ONE WORD ABOUT ANY
POPE,
Hey, no matter how hard you try to reject the words of Christ, the words in Mat
16:13-20 most clearly define a job description for the man that:
a. Heard directly from the Father. As have all Christians everywhere, through the Holy Spirit.
nope, he talked directly with the Father, who is not Holy Spirit nor Jesus.
I talk directly with the Father, who is not Holy Spirit or Jesus too.
I pray to the father through Jesus. You should try that. That is how
the Bible says to do it.
b. Given the keys to the Kingdom of God.Which he used at pentecost.
Very meaningful to the Jews.
Very meaningful to all of us. However it does not make him any pope.
c. Given authority to bind/loose on earth to be so in Heaven.
Which is given to ALL Christians everywhere.
Where?
John 14:13-14
13 And whatever you ask in My name , that I will do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name , I
will do it.
NKJV
d. Called the rock foundation on which Christ built his Church on earth.
The passage says no such thing. He is called Peter; Jesus is the ROCK
in that passage, not peter, who is called "satan" only a few lines
later.
Actually he is called Cephas, which on a 1:1 translation basis means rock.
The word Peter is a DIFFERENT WORD than the ROCK that Jesus' church is
built upon.
Jesus is described many places as the ROCK of our salvation, the ROCK
of stumbling for unbelievers, etc.
That does NOT make peter a pope. Peter is also called "SATAN," and
Jesus says peter cares more about what people think than about God.
Remember?
John 1:42 (New International Version)
42And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be
called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter[a]).
Footnotes:
John 1:42 Both Cephas (Aramaic) and Peter (Greek) mean rock.
John 1:42-43
Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of
Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).
Catholic footnotes are not inspired, and are mostly wrong. There
are more than one words translated "stone."
All have sinned except Jesus, including you. Heb 4:15.
Now if you want to follow satan, you may. You clearly don't follow
the rock.
I follow the Cornerstone who built a Church foundation based on the Papacy.
I follow the Corerstone who built a church built on JESUS CHRIST.
1 Cor 1:11-13
11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by
those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. 12
Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," or "I am of
Apollos," or "I am of Cephas ," or "I am of Christ." 13 Is Christ
divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name
of Paul?
NKJV
Sorry ducky, but you may be "of peter" if you wish. I will remain,
"of Jesus Christ."
Now, if you don't like the word Pope, or Papa, or Father as given by 1 Cor 4:15,
that's your problem as a protest_er.
1 Cor 4:15-17
15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet
you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you
through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you, imitate me. 17 For this
reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son
in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach
everywhere in every church.
NKJV
Hmm. This is EXACTLY THE SAME context in which Timothy is called in
1 Timothy 1:2 by Paul. ALL Christians are spiritual children of those
who lead them to Jesus Christ. That does NOT make them popes.
You're confused, check. It's why we Catholics call our priests as "Father".
Try again. No confusion on my part. You STILL have no pope in the
Bible.
Matt 23:9
9 Do not call anyone on earth your father ; for One is your Father ,
He who is in heaven.
NKJV
Yes, your religion DO violate that command by Jesus, don't you?
Sorry, but just using the term "fathers" does not make peter become a
pope any more than you calling YOUR daddy "father" would make him a
pope.
Zoom - right over your head.
In other words, you have no answer so you must play childish word
games. It figures.
Not yet, you haven't. All you have done in THIS thread is show your
