We shouldn't be too suprised that there are non-believers for whom no
amount of evidence seems to be sufficient to convince them of the
glory of God.
It was the same 2000 years ago.
In Acts 2:1-13 we see the apostles filled with the Holy Spirit and
suddenly able to speak in tongues. Among those in the crowd, many are
amazed and yet others simply turn away and make fun of this witness.
Was Luke there?? Then I guess all we have is his fiction??
As I understand it, your objection to this passage in the bible >stems fromLuke's apparent lack of presence at the actual scene >of these events. Since
he was apparently not an actual witness, >you dismiss his historical record
of the events.
Once again, you show your ignorance.
Lets examine Luke's fables shall we??
Acts 1: 18 - (With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a
field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines
spilled out.
Now read from someone that actually was there -
Matthew 27: 5 - So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he
went away and hanged himself.
OOOOOPS Luke Blew it!!
Let's check some more.
Luke 23: 39-43 - 39One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at
him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
40But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since
you are under the same sentence? 41We are punished justly, for we are
getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
42Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[f]"
43Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in
paradise."
What a cute little story!! But what of someone who was actually there??
Matthew 27: 41-44 -41In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the
law and the elders mocked him. 42"He saved others," they said, "but he can't
save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross,
and we will believe in him. 43He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he
wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.' " 44In the same way the
robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
WOW!! An actual disciple says the thieves also heaped insults on him!!
What about Mark, who got his information from Peter?
Mark 15: 32 -
32Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that
we may see and believe." Those crucified with him also heaped insults on
him.
OOOOPS, again the theives revile Jesus!!
But, don't let the facts, by actual people, confuse you when it comes to
Luke's fables.
Need More??
Acts 8: 7 - 7And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing
a voice, but seeing no man.
Acts 22: 9 - And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were
afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
WOW!! Luke can't even get his story straight. Did Saulus the apostate's
companions hear the voices or not??
See that happens when you are writing fiction.
Snip the rest of the rant that has nothing to do with the case.
Smile.
