Buy or else....

In a previous post, I emphasized a number of things the Catholic
church peddles that are complete baloney. The church is basically
theater run by celibate men, many of whom haven't laid a finger on any
woman except their mother, and people wonder why the church has such a
creepy mentality about human sexuality. They do know how to put on a
show, and they wink at various reports of miracles and apparitions,
while publicly expressing scepticism.
These people know exactly what they're doing. They try to keep a
dialogue going to seize an opening for a potential sale. It's the
hard sell. If you're tired of the sales tactics, just slam the door
in their face. That they understand. They will go away, even though
they tell you they won't.
I think Dostoevsky was right--the Catholic church is about authority,
and keeping people in line. If you think a communion wafer is really
Jesus, that's fine--just don't come knocking here, OK?
