Where in the Bible does it say you should kneel, sit, genuflect, bow,Traditions vary. Just as in some societies men greet each other by kissing,
curtsy, or cross yourself? Where does it say you should repeat the
same "prayer" over and over again? Where does it say you should pray
to anyone other than to GOD HIMSELF?
It doesn't do ANY of these things, of course. ALL of that is man-made
dung.
The rcc teaches a LOT of dung that THEY made up, that is not from God
at all, just like the above.
in others by bowing, and in others by shaking hands, the way we pray varies
from place to place and time to time.
It is very rude to refuse to genuflect in a Catholic church when that is the
tradition. However it would be reasonable to make some other gesture of
reverence, such as bowing. The Bible say that when Jesus was taken up to
heaven, the apostles "worshipped him", but it doesn't say what words they
used or waht gestures they performed. It would be interesting to know, but
not an essential matter of faith.
