If you look at dictionary definitions of the word "lie":

Taking into consideration the context, where, unprompted, and for no reason
other than to sell DAB, he reeled off a list of "benefits" it offers, so he
certainly perverted the truth with the intent to deceive listeners, which
clearly fits with the definition of the word "lie".


So it is allegedy what people have been telling him, i.e. it is
PERCEPTION, which is not the same as the truth. Note he didn't say
"better audio quality than FM". The only thing he mentioned being
better than FM was coverage when driving around, although I can't
comment on how good this is as I've never had in-car DAB. So he's not
actually lying but he is being misleading.


But he definitely did "pretend with intent to deceive", so it was a lie by
the definition of the word, IMO.


As for displaying the name of the show, track, artist etc that has
been available via RDS on FM for years.
