If it solves the problem of fast moving detailed scenes, eg sea surf,
breaking up into nasty mpeg blocks even on the flagship channels due to a
lower that ideal bit rate (where've we heard this before?) then great. If
not then its just more technology for its own sake, which frankly seems to
be the story of digital broadcasting in this country so far whether TV or
radio.
