That's right - if you've done nothing wrong then you don't need to worry.
All this surveillance and war is firmly in the public interest - your
government is keeping you safe from all those terrible criminals and
terrorists, and those who speak out against it are probably criminals or
terrorists themselves, although of course at the same time we defend their
right to say it 100% - proof that we're still a great democracy. I've
learned all this by paying attention to the mainstream media, so it must be
true.
Seriously, though, your reference to "Faux Labour" suggests you still
believe that whichever "party" has been voted into office actually has 100%
control of what goes on.
The reality is that you can either vote for Ministers of the Crown wearing
red ties (Labour), or Ministers of the Crown wearing blue ties
(Conservatives). In other words, two sides of the same coin with very little
between them, both there to serve the British establishment and nothing
more.
No other party will ever get in power, and if they did, you can bet that
said party would consist of the very same ilk.
This is how it's been in the UK for many decades - a well-camouflaged
dictatorship with a well-rehearsed Punch & Judy show constantly running
between the two "parties" as they impose pre-planned and
carefully-controlled criticism upon each other, which is covered, day in-day
out, by the established media.
