DAB isn't even anywhere near being audiophile level, though, or
weren't you even aware of that?

The adoption of DAB was the most incompetent technicalch.co.uk/dab/incompetent_adoption_of_dab.htm
decision ever made in the history of UK broadcasting:http://www.digitalradiote
Yep - am fully ware..but dont care....MP3's are pretty low quality..I
guess that why the Ipod never took off
bill
Makes you wonder why classical muso's go to all that trouble with their
Strads and all when they could just buy a Chinese copy!.
Save a hellava lot of loot on insurance and they could afford to keep a
spare around after all if there're going to chuck a few bits of info
away why bother?.
Why bother with all those Fender axe's when again a few cheap copies
sound like a gui_tar man;)...
Doesn't an iPod use MP 4 tho;?...

I (and 4 bandmates) drag a 25 stone(approx) 1961 Hammond C3 organ and
200 pound Leslie 147 rotary speaker cabinet to every gig, radio
session, and recording I do. I could get one the the decent digital
Hammond clones available now....one person can move it, it will fit in
a small car ...unlikely to ever breakdown, costs nothing to maintain,
and costs about a quarter of the price of a quality vintage tonewheel
Hammond organ.
yep - I go to all that extra effort all that because it suits me and
because I can - but I dont dictate that every other keyboard player
does the same.
Horses for courses.
