I never thought I'd see the day!
Then he goes on to admit that:

"But if the UK had hung on in 1998 waiting for a "better"
technology, we'd never have got on-air, never sold 7m+ receivers,
and never made a success of DAB. And at least we have a relatively
obvious migration path to DAB+."

Not really.

If there wouldn't have been +7 million DAB-radios sold in the UK, DAB+
would never have existed neither.

On what technology do you think the DAB+-chipsets which are being
developed now are based?

DAB+ would just be like DVB-H now. It doesn't even exist and there
already is a "new technology" out-there that is there to replace it.

And by the time DAB-H2 will be half way there, somebody will come up
with another new fractal-based codec, quantum-mechanics based 6-phase
modulation or whatever.

I really, really cannot be bothered getting into yet another pointless
argument - which it would almost inevitably end up as, because all I seem to
have to do is say somethign, anything, and the clowns descend.

You believe what you want - you will anyway.

The adoption of DAB was the most incompetent technical
decision ever made in the history of UK broadcasting:
