World DMB in Sydney

The World DMB organisation held it's Technical Group meeting in Sydney
today.
A number of matters pertaining to the standard were ratified and
several new
study groups are to be set up to investigate other suggested changes
to the standard.
the meeting was hosted by Commercial radio Australia (CRA) at the
Crowne Plaza Coogee.
As well as the meembers there were a number of obseervers from the
Australian industry
present.
Australia will commence its DAB+ transmissions in capital cities on 1
January 2009.
tests have been running on DAB "L" Band since 1999 and on Band 3 in
Sydney and Melbourne
with DAB+ tests in progress in Sydney for the past few months.
