It is surely obvious that no broadcaster would deliberately inflict
sub-standard audio on its listeners.
LOL
They have been for years with DAB! FM stereo stations use audio
conditioning circuits that make them sound distorted like low DAB quality so
when everything is switched over people will not realise. Isn't it odd that
we have the latest technology, but no one knows how to get it working
properly to provide high quality "crystal clear" audio!
