That last few miles from the exchange is the sticking point however.
Doesn't matter how fast the internet routers are if that slowly
corroding bit of copper linking your house can't manage more than a
few MB/s especially if its on one of those aggregate systems where
everyone uses the main cable link to the exchange router.
