A similarly priced alternative, for me, would be a DTT hard disc
recording box, and set it to record any BBC radio output that I might
possibly want to listen to in the next few weeks. The disc capacity
for recording audio should be many hundreds of hours on any DTT box.
I've not done exhaustive tests because thanks to the pathetic standard
of broadcasting I've almost given up on radio, but as far as I can
judge, my PVR records 'blank' video when recording 'radio' so any
capacity savings are small or non-existent. You may wish to research
this before parting with more cash.
