Sangean / Roberts DRM-40 dead (?)

Bad new I guess...

I've been waiting since 2004 for the Sangean / Roberts DRM-40
receiver. Today I read the following at Thiecom.de:

"DRM40 kein Liefertermin - vermutlich keine Produktion!"

For those of you who don't speak German: "DRM40, no delivery status
known - possible no production at all!"

Rumors are going that Sangean can't get the receiver stable and is
plagued by drop-outs in units.

And to make it all a bit worse: the DRM-40 has dissapeared from
www.sangean.com and www.sangean.nl

Maybe someone from Sangean can clear this up? Anyway, I'll ask them at
the upcoming IFA in Berlin.
