I really liked this bit. He'd never have spotted it. I appreciate
subtetly, lacking it myself.
But the position today has
changed somewhat. Satellite dishes are smaller and less of an eyesore,
the equipment is vastly cheaper than it was, and components for
multi-occupier installations are readily available. Also, many
town-dwellers have the alternative of cable. That just leaves the
mountain dwellers -- and they might simply have to accept that a lack
of HDTV is the price they pay for a nice view out of the window.
Indeed. As some currently accept that the nice view out of the window
is the price to pay for no TV at all.
