Suggesting only one national station is obviously ridiculous. Obviously there has to be some balance between choice and sound quality. However the position they have actually taken on DAB seems to have gone almost as far in the other direction.
Using a whole multiplex for one stations would be ridiculous, but using 128k is almost as ridiculous.
Absolute sound quality is obviously not as important as content unless you are just geeky about these things.
Or unless you find that the sound quality that has been degraded so far that you find yourself unable to enjoy listening to it.
