popular bands, which would include MF. So I don't see that there will
be any wide-open spaces to fill.

In any case, doubling the channel width will double the TX power
requirement and possibly the spectrum licence fee without doubling the
audience. So the appeal to broadcasters will be rather limited. Most
listeners respond to choice, convenience and cost, and won't care one
way or the other about the technology.

Single channel DRM is perhaps a nice idea for long distance broadcasting where people are used to putting up with poor audio, in order to hear some distant broadcast. ... people would have the choice of listening to vhf based broadcasting systems. ...
