Roberts MP23 Question

Hi, first post here.
Are there any other Roberts MP23 owners here who can answer a
question? I bought this Radio yesterday and am very happy with it.
Just one thing though and that is when in standby, the bright blue
backlight behind the volume / on / off button remains lit. Very
distracting, esp. at night. Can anyone confirm if this is normal? I
would have hoped the light went off on standby.
Other than that, very pleased
