Quite true, you don't need to produce anything, but if you hope to convince us
that you have knowledge of something, an illustration or a reference would
help. I would have thought that if it is *you* that wants to convince *us*
(rather than any of us particularly caring what you can do or what you know)
then it is in your own interests to provide some evidence, otherwise you
mustn't be too surprised if your readers are circumspect.

I'd guess you're confusing "writing some code in C" with being a "C
software engineer". Or more correctly lying about it. Pal.

Hmmm. This sounds rather familiar; a bit like when you told us that you wrote
for a magazine, but were reluctant to tell us which one.
